Monaco have reportedly dropped their asking price for Colombian attacker James Rodriguez.
The 23-year-old, who scored six times for Colombia at this summer's World Cup, is currently one of the most sought-after individuals in world football.
Real Madrid had reportedly been quoted a figure of close to £90m, but it is understood that the price for the former Porto winger has now dropped to £68m.
Any deal would represent another serious outlay of funds for Los Blancos, but Madrid are hopeful of gaining at least £40m by selling Angel di Maria to either Manchester United or Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
