Martin Odegaard has reportedly asked to leave Real Madrid this month after growing frustrated at his lack of playing time.
The 22-year-old, who was tipped to be the biggest star in world football when joining Madrid at the age of 16 in 2015, has started just five times in all competitions this term.
Odegaard showed what he is capable of during a loan stint with Real Sociedad last season and, according to Marca, he is seeking another spell away from the Bernabeu.
However, head coach Zinedine Zidane is expected to block an exit as he feel that the Norway international can still play a part this season.
Club president Florentino Perez is said to be more open to offloading Odegaard this month, but only if they can find a team willing to purchase the attacking midfielder permanently to free up some funds.
