Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted that he is happy at the Santiago Bernabeu amid the uncertainty surrounding his playing future.
The Portuguese international, whose playing future at Madrid is in doubt, netted a brace to give the La Liga giants the win after Marcelo's opening goal had been cancelled out by Ramires in Miami.
Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital after failing to commit his future in public to Madrid, but he is adamant that he is happy with life at the moment.
"The team is getting better, we have trained very well, gradually improving things," Ronaldo told the club's official website. "I am happy and like how things are going, the team is doing well and I was able to help with goals, which is what I have to do.
"The team played at a high level, we were better and deserved the win. The pre-season is there to try things and it is better to do it now rather than later. I'm almost playing in my position and I feel comfortable.
"There is a long way to go, we will try to do our best. We have a good team and the new players are very good and hopefully [Champions League success] will come this year."
Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested in signing Ronaldo this summer.
