Barcelona boss Quique Setien has said that he is "not pessimistic or optimistic" about his side's hopes of signing Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
The Argentina international has scored 16 goals in 28 Serie A and Champions League appearances this season, earning links with a move to Barca, Real Madrid and others.
Barcelona are believed to be leading the race for Martinez, who has a £97m release clause in his contract, but Setien acknowledged that big-money moves may not be possible this summer because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"We talk about transfers, but this pandemic is going to condition many things," he told Onda Cero. "The situation of the clubs will be economically complicated.
"I am not pessimistic or optimistic with Lautaro. I like how I like great footballers, but I have no illusions with any."
Barcelona may reportedly turn to Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if they are unable to agree a more reasonable fee with Inter.
