Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone has ruled out an audacious move for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
Casillas fell out of favour with former Madrid coach Jose Mourinho last season, with the Portuguese coach preferring Diego Lopez to the World Cup winning stopper.
The Spain international has since failed to win his place back under new boss Carlo Ancelotti causing his future to come under scrutiny at Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Simeone has played down a potential move for the 32-year-old.
"Thibault Courtois is our goalie, we also have two other goalkeepers waiting for their chance so no, we wouldn't be interested in Iker Casillas," Simeone told reporters.
Atleti face Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup tonight.
