Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has seemingly ruled out a January exit for Martin Odegaard.
The midfielder saw his two-year loan spell at Real Sociedad halved in the summer as Zidane looked to freshen up his first-team squad.
However, the Norway international has been limited to five starts and four substitute appearances in all competitions since the middle of September.
Despite his lack of game time, Zidane suggested to reporters at a press conference that the 22-year-old still has a role to play this season.
Odegaard remained as an unused substitute as Los Blancos suffered a 2-1 defeat to Athletic Bilbao in the Supercopa de Espana on Thursday evening.
