Lyon left-back Ferland Mendy has emerged as a rumoured summer transfer target for Real Madrid.
The 23-year-old has been used regularly for the French side in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this term, making a combined 34 appearances.
Mendy has enjoyed another impressive season and, according to Spanish outlet Marca, he has caught the eye of compatriot Zinedine Zidane.
Madrid are in the market for a new left-sided defender and have already been linked with Real Betis's Junior Firpo, Alex Grimaldo of Benfica and Bayern Munich ace David Alaba, but the report indicates that Mendy is the player Zidane wants.
However, the once-capped France international is under contract with Lyon until 2023 so Los Blancos will not land him on the cheap, likely having to splash out around £35m.
Barcelona are rumoured to have previously monitored Mendy, who is in his second season with Les Gones.
