Republic of Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni has admitted that the team needs to change following Thursday's elimination from Euro 2012.
A convincing 4-0 loss to holders Spain condemned the Irish to their second consecutive defeat of the tournament after they were beaten 3-1 by Croatia over the weekend.
"We met two very strong teams, but that is not an excuse. Sure, [it is time to change]," Trapattoni told reporters.
"In training, the team was happy, comfortable and ready, but as soon as we started the game we were down by one goal. I don't know."
Ireland conclude their campaign on Monday when they take on Italy.
