Republic of Ireland defender Seamus Coleman has hailed match-winner Aiden McGeady following the team's 2-1 victory over Georgia in European Championship qualifying.
McGeady scored twice in Tbilisi on Sunday night - his second in the final minute - as Ireland began their campaign with three vital points.
Coleman believes that the 28-year-old is capable of becoming an even better player in the future if he keeps working hard for both club and country.
"He was brilliant, fantastic. I said to him before the game, 'you can win us this match' because he's got that ability to beat players and his confidence is up at the minute, and I'm delighted to see it," Coleman is quoted as saying by the Irish Examiner.
"We all know that's what he is capable of week-in, week-out and as long as he believes it, he can be a top, top player."
McGeady has scored five goals in 70 games for Ireland since he made his debut back in 2004.
