Republic of Ireland boss Martin O'Neill has said that this evening's 4-0 win over Gibraltar in Euro 2016 qualifying will give his side confidence ahead of their crunch encounter with Georgia on Monday night.
Goals from Cyrus Christie, Shane Long and a Robbie Keane brace secured the win for Ireland, who now sit third in Group D.
"I never thought we were out of it, but we had to win our games, and this particular weekend is very important to us," O'Neill told Sky Sports News.
"This will give us a good boost of confidence, and Georgia too, who will now come with renewed spirit and confidence themselves from a great win against Scotland, so we have to be mindful of Monday night."
Elsewhere in Group D, Germany's 3-1 win over Poland moved them to the top of the table.
