The Republic of Ireland edged closer to the Euro 2012 playoffs with a 2-0 win in Andorra.
Giovanni Trapattoni's side went ahead just before half-time when Kevin Doyle was on hand to hit home from John O'Shea's header.
The away side extended their lead in the second half after Aiden McGeady was found in the box from a free kick before he fired home from the angle.
The result means that Ireland need a draw against Armenia in Dublin on Tuesday to secure a place in the playoffs for next year's finals.
