Robbie Brady has claimed that it gives him extra motivation to have Roy Keane part of the Republic of Ireland set-up under Martin O'Neill.
The Hull City midfielder was a big admirer of Keane as he looked to make an impact in his younger years at Manchester United, and he is delighted to be working with him once again.
"It's brilliant because you always looked up to him as a kid," Brady told reporters. "As your coach, you want to do well for him.
"You want to do well for yourself but it's great to have such a big personality in the set up and someone who's done it all."
Ireland take on Gibraltar in Euro 2016 qualifying on Saturday.
