Norwich City midfielder Anthony Pilkington has emerged as a doubt for the Republic of Ireland's friendly against Latvia on Friday.
Pilkington was not among the Ireland squad when they met up this afternoon ahead of their first game under the new management team of Martin O'Neill and Roy Keane.
The Football Association of Ireland confirmed that the 25-year-old will remain with Norwich until Thursday after picking up a dead leg during Saturday's 3-1 win over West Ham United.
"Anthony Pilkington has emerged as an injury doubt after coming off during Norwich's clash against West Ham on Saturday with a dead leg," an FAI spokesman told reporters.
"He will remain with his club until Thursday while his progress is monitored."
Ireland will travel to Poznan to face Poland in the second leg of their international double-header after Friday's match against Latvia.
