Tottenham Hotspur defender Vlad Chiriches is believed to be nearing a switch to Serie A giants Roma.
Reports in Italy claim that an agreement has been reached between the two clubs for the Romanian, who only joined Spurs from Steaua Bucuresti last summer.
New Lillywhites manager Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring in a new first-choice centre-back, with Sevilla captain Federico Fazio reportedly on his way to White Hart Lane, and so is open to selling a couple of his fringe defenders.
Michael Dawson and Younes Kaboul have both been linked with moves away from Spurs, but it appears as though Chiriches, 24, will be the first to leave, with Roma having apparently struck a deal for a long-term target.
Chiriches made 23 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions last season, scoring once.
