Ben Gordon has confirmed that he has left Ross County, despite the club's recent announcement that he had signed a contract extension.
It is thought that the 23-year-old defender had not officially penned new terms when the Scottish Premiership club claimed that he had extended his stay.
"After a lot of consideration, I won't be extending my contract with the club," Gordon is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "I need to be playing in England to advance my career and also in terms of consideration towards my family."
Gordon joined Ross County from Yeovil Town last summer.
