Rotherham United recorded a comfortable 3-0 win over Stocksbridge Park Steels in this afternoon's pre-season friendly at the Look Local Stadium.
The Championship side had to wait some 18 minutes before opening the scoring against their non-League counterparts.
It came through Richard Smallwood, who slotted home from close range after Aidy White whipped a dangerous ball into the area.
Jordan Bowery had a good chance saved by the home keeper, before the hosts cleared another off the line minutes later as the Millers looked to extend their lead further.
The long-awaited second came on 35 minutes when Grant Ward thumped home from outside the area for what was his second goal in the space of a week.
It got better early in the second half when Jonson Clarke-Harris nodded home a third from Danny Ward's teasing cross.
United threatened to fatten the scoreline on a host of occasions throughout the second half, but the impressive Steels keeper made a series of saves to keep the scoreline down.
