Rotherham United manager Steve Evans has claimed that he does not know if the club have made a bid for Wigan Athletic striker Nouha Dicko.
The 21-year-old scored six goals in as many games for the Millers during a loan spell earlier this season.
Evans insists that he leaves transfer dealings to chairman Tony Stewart and chief executive Paul Douglas.
"I wouldn't know who we have bid for or who we haven't," Sporting Life quotes Evans as saying.
"I have put a list of players together and it is up to the chairman to decide whether to bid or not.
"We're desperate to add to our squad, but we're not desperate to add just anyone, we're desperate for quality. We have identified talented players, either loan or permanent signings and now it's up to the chairman."
Dicko has made nine appearances for Wigan since joining the club in 2011.
