Fabio Capello's son and agent Pierfilippo has insisted that his father has not been approached by the Russia national side to become the team's new manager.
The former England boss has been out of work since leaving the Three Lions in February but Pierfilippo has claimed that the Italian boss would be keen on becoming Dick Advocaat's successor.
"There has not been any contact between Fabio Capello and the Russian Football Federation so far, not even informally," Pierfilippo told Agi.
"Should an offer arrive from the national team or a club either in Moscow or another big Russian city, it would probably be a country we would take into consideration as my father would like it and be interested in going there."
Meanwhile, reports in Russia have claimed that ex-Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola has agreed to become the national team's boss.
