Saint-Etienne coach Christophe Galtier has called on his side to roll their sleeves up as they prepare to welcome Lille in Ligue 1 this evening.
A victory for the hosts would see them move within three points of third-placed Lille, who are seeking to push Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco for the league title this season.
"We were not beaten [against Cannes] because of a lack of determination or desire, but we were poor going forward and made bad decisions," Galtier told reporters ahead of the match.
"I was really down that night after being knocked out. But now the most important thing is the game against Lille. We need to roll our sleeves up and get back to work.
"Now we will only have one game per week so we will have time to work well and fine-tune our plans. We are fourth just now. Our season is not finished."
Saint-Etienne currently occupy fourth position in the Ligue 1 table.
