Sampdoria president Edoardo Garrone has said that Delio Rossi will remain as the club's coach next season.
The Italian tactician's future at the Genoa-based outfit had been the subject of speculation following a difficult campaign that has seen them struggle against relegation.
"As far as I can confirm, Delio Rossi will remain at the helm of Sampdoria next year," Football Italia quotes Garrone as saying.
"He has yet to put pen to paper, so I cannot say for absolute certain. It would be wrong of us to dream about having [Roberto] Mancini on the bench. It is impossible."
Sampdoria are currently 14th in Serie A with 39 points from 37 matches.
