Sampdoria manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has said that his team want to improve their hopes of qualifying for Europe by beating Roma on Monday evening.
The Blucerchiati have impressed in Serie A this season and are currently in sixth place in the table, just four points away from Napoli, who occupy the final Champions League spot.
"You can't say we have nothing to lose, because we're in a great position and intend to stay there. We want to play Roma on level terms," Football Italia quotes Mihajlovic as saying.
"I don't trust Roma's 'crisis' as they have excellent players. We won't be victims at the Olimpico. As the great business magnate Rockefeller said, there are people who dream of success and others who wake up to go and get it. We are awake.
"The pressure of these games is positive, whereas against smaller sides the pressure is negative, as anything less than a win will be considered disastrous."
Sampdoria and Roma shared a goalless draw in their previous league meeting earlier this season.
