Fabio Quagliarella scored a hat-trick as Torino earned a comprehensive 5-1 victory over Sampdoria in Serie A this afternoon.
The hosts took the lead in the 16th minute when Emiliano Moretti's flick on from a corner was touched in by Quagliarella at the back post.
Quagliarella scored his second of the match from the penalty spot just before the half-hour mark, after Kamil Glik had been brought down by Matias Silvestre in the box.
Torino almost grabbed a third goal shortly after the break, but Cesare Bovo's low free kick was pushed away by Emiliano Viviano.
However, the hosts were able to extend their lead in the 65th minute as Quagliarella was found by Marco Benassi to drill a low shot home which sealed his hat-trick.
Another former Juventus player was on the scoresheet for Torino 10 minutes later, as Amauri bundled the ball in from close range for his side's fourth of the match.
Sampdoria did manage to pull a goal back three minutes later through Pedro Obiang, who found the net with a clever back-heel from Lorenzo De Silvestri's cross.
Bruno Peres then smashed in a fifth Torino goal in stoppage time as the hosts won for a third successive league match.
