Inter Milan midfielder Saphir Taider has explained his early exit from Southampton after cancelling his loan spell due to "personal reasons".
Taider, 22, arrived at St Mary's during the summer as Dani Osvaldo was sent in the opposite direction, but the midfielder lasted just three weeks at Saints.
Taider told Sassuolo Channel: "I was at Inter, then went to England where I was okay, but for personal reasons I decided to come back to Italy.
"I had several different offers, but I chose Sassuolo and hope to have a great season. It's a new adventure for me, but I know Serie A and learned a lot at Inter."
Taider signed for Serie A side Sassuolo just days after his return from Southampton as he looks to reignite his career.
