Schalke 04 chairman Clemens Tonnies has insisted that the club will not sell Julian Draxler during the January transfer window.
The Germany international midfielder has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal all thought to be keen on his services.
Despite mounting interest in Draxler, Tonnies expects the 21-year-old to remain with the club until at least the end of the season.
"We have absolutely no thoughts about him leaving on short notice," he told Sport Bild. "Schalke is the place where he can develop best and I told him that in person. My opinion is also that Julian has developed greatly, especially regarding his personality."
A thigh injury has limited Draxler to just 12 appearances for Schalke so far this season.
