Charlie Nicholas has claimed that a defeat for Scotland in Georgia would be disastrous for their hopes of reaching Euro 2016.
The Scots head to Tbilisi tonight in third place in the Group D table, three points behind leaders Poland and two adrift of Germany in second position.
Nicholas has refused to describe the game as one that Scotland must win, but the former striker admits that they must not come away from the match with nothing.
"Scotland have to take something from their trip to Tbilisi. They got beat 2-0 the last time they played there and Georgia are actually improving under their new coach," he told Sky Sports News.
"I would be chuffed to bits with a draw in Tbilisi, I really would be, but if we get a win, it will put us through the roof. It doesn't guarantee us a position in the top two, but it gives us a real opportunity and it becomes exciting."
Nicholas scored five goals in 20 games for Scotland between 1983 and 1989.
