Johnny Russell has been drafted into the Scotland squad by Gordon Strachan following some impressive performances in the Championship for Derby County.
The 24-year-old forward, who is yet to make his senior Scotland debut, replaces teammate Craig Bryson in the squad for the upcoming fixtures against Republic of Ireland and England.
Russell has scored four goals in his last four games for Championship leaders Derby, including a brace in the handsome 5-0 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday lunchtime.
He joins Rams teammates Craig Forsyth and Chris Martin in Strachan's squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Ireland and friendly against England.
Bryson is out with a hip injury that has seen him miss Derby's last two wins against Huddersfield Town and Wolves.
