Gordon Strachan: "It was a fantastic game"

Scotland boss Gordon Strachan describes his side's surprise 2-2 draw with Poland in Warsaw as a "fantastic game".

Scotland manager Gordon Strachan has described his side's 2-2 draw with Poland this evening as a "fantastic game" after they held out for a surprise point.

The Scots were subjected to heavy late pressure in Warsaw, having previously fought back from a goal down to lead before Arkadiusz Milik's strike in the 76th minute levelled the scores again.

The result leaves Scotland third in Group D, level on points with world champions Germany, and Strachan is happy with the start they have made to their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

"It was a fantastic game and a fantastic atmosphere. We're pleased with a lot of things and disappointed too. We played attacking players and feel that's a strong part of our team; I believe in them," he told Sky Sports News.

"The surface was heavy and they did well, considering. They stuck at it. It's the hardest group. We've had four points from two games and two good performances away from home and a terrific one at home to Georgia."

Scotland are not in action again for a month, when they host the Republic of Ireland.
