Scotland coach Craig Levein has said that defender Christophe Berra will join the rest of his squad on Thursday for their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Serbia on Saturday.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers centre-back remained in England as his wife was due to give birth, but will now join his teammates following the arrival of his daughter.
"On behalf of the squad we are delighted with the news and send our congratulations to Christophe and his family," Sky Sports News quotes Levein as saying.
"We look forward to him joining up tomorrow. He has been training at his club this week so there are no issues with him fitness-wise and I am sure he will come up on a high.
"Christophe is a very important player for us and it will be good to have him available for Saturday."
Scotland are in Group A of the qualifying campaign along with Croatia, Serbia, Belgium, Macedonia and Wales.
