Scotland midfielder Charlie Mulgrew has said that he was pleased with his side's performance in their 0-0 draw with the USA last night, but admitted that there is room for improvement.
"They had a lot of the ball but we battled well and it was a good clean sheet and not a bad performance," Mulgrew told ITV Sport.
"We are working on a lot of things and the manager is bringing a lot of ideas. We are getting there slowly but surely with a couple of very good results along the way.
"We have a lot of forward-thinking players but they also have a defensive mentality as well and they do their work for the team, which helps everybody. We just need to keep that going."
Scotland are now unbeaten in three games.
