Winger Matt Phillips has been ruled out of Scotland's friendly with USA through injury.
The 22-year-old had been hoping to earn his third cap for his country, but he has returned to Queens Park Rangers for treatment on a hamstring problem.
The withdrawal of Phillips is a further blow to manager Gordon Strachan, who had already lost Jordan Rhodes earlier this week due to an ankle sprain.
Leeds United striker Ross McCormack, Dundee United winger Gary Mackay-Steven and Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Craig Conway have already been drafted in as replacements.
