Landon Donovan helped himself to a hat-trick as the United States thrashed Scotland 5-1 at the EverBank Field in Jacksonville.
The LA Galaxy forward had opened the scoring before Michael Bradley's 11th-minute half-volley made it 2-0.
Scotland grabbed one back just four minutes later when Kenny Miller's header rebounded off defender Geoff Cameron and past Tim Howard.
Donovan bagged his second of the game on the hour-mark and he completed his hat-trick five minutes later after Bradley's through-ball had set him free behind the Scotland defence.
Jermaine Jones completed the rout in the 70th minute after heading home from Donovan's cross.
