Sevilla have notched up their first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory against Real Zaragoza.
The visitors got the decisive goal midway through the first half when Alvaro Negredo scored from the spot after he was fouled by David Mateos.
They could have extended their lead after the break, but Piotr Trochowski and Jose Angel Campana were guilty of missing decent chances.
Zaragoza were reduced to 10 men in the final minute when Juan Carlos was deemed to have elbowed Jorge Coke.
The win has lifted Sevilla into fifth place, while Zaragoza remain one place off the bottom of the table.
