Bordeaux defender Mariano is reportedly on the verge of joining Europa League holders Sevilla.
The 29-year-old has become a key player for the Ligue 1 club, following his move from Fluminense in January 2012.
However, according to Marca, he is now set to complete a €4m (£2.8m) transfer to Sevilla, after their move for Juventus full-back Mauricio Isla broke down.
Mariano started 31 league matches for Bordeaux last season.
