Sevilla have been boosted by the news that Kevin Gameiro has returned to light training.
The Frenchman scored 21 times in all competitions for the Spanish side last season after joining from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2013.
However, the 27-year-old has not played this season due to a knee injury.
"In terms of workload, Gameiro is doing very well at the moment. We hope that by the end of the week, he will be able to train as usual with the first team," Sevilla doctor Juan Jose Jimenez is quoted as saying by Inside Spanish Football.
Sevilla have won four of their six La Liga games thus far this season.
