Jermaine Grandison has signed a deal to return to League One outfit Shrewsbury Town.
The 22-year-old, who joined the club from Coventry City in 2011, left after rejecting new terms in the summer.
A pelvic injury kept the defender out of action since January, but he has been granted special dispensation to return to Town by the Football League.
The club, obliged under rules to ensure that he was fully fit following surgery, were satisfied after he came through 45 minutes for the reserve team against Port Vale this afternoon.
