Sochaux coach Eric Hely has reportedly offered his resignation in the wake of the team's 5-1 defeat at Guingamp.
The 48-year-old has been under pressure following the team's poor start to the season, with just two points on the board from seven league games.
"It's been 20 months since I began fighting, alongside the coaching staff, players and managers," L'Equipe quotes Hely as saying.
"I saved the club twice but tonight, in the interest of the club, I have submitted my resignation."
Club president Laurent Pernet will announce whether Hely's resignation has been accepted tomorrow (September 26).
