Southampton manager Nigel Adkins has insisted that Jack Cork will come back stronger from his latest injury setback.
The 23-year-old has been ruled out for up to six weeks after picking up a knee problem during Tuesday's Capital One Cup win over Sheffield Wednesday.
"It is a good place at Southampton so we'll keep his spirits up, he'll work harder and then when he comes back he will be raring to go," Adkins told Sky Sports News.
Cork's appearance in midweek was his first for the club since injuring his ankle in a pre-season fixture against Bristol City.
