Fraser Forster has said that Southampton were lacking a "bit of luck" during their defeat to Arsenal in the Premier League this evening.
The sides were level heading into the final couple of minutes, but the Saints had to finish the match a man short when Toby Alderweireld was forced off with an injury after they had made all three substitutions, ahead of Alexis Sanchez's 89th-minute winner.
The goalkeeper told BBC Sport: "It is disappointing. We have matched them for 90 minutes but couldn't see the game out.
"It is hard enough 11 against 11 but with a man short it is so tough. We needed a bit of luck that we didn't get. We just need to keep believing and keep doing what we did in the first 10 games of the season."
Southampton are just a point ahead of fourth-placed Manchester United as a result of the defeat.
