Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has revealed that Charlie Austin will be in his squad for this weekend's Premier League match against Manchester United.
The Saints beat off a host of competition to sign the 26-year-old from Queens Park Rangers last weekend for a figure in the region of £4m.
Austin has trained with his new teammates this week and during a press conference on Thursday, Koeman confirmed that the Englishman would be involved in Saturday's trip to Old Trafford.
"I was a little bit worried because Charlie had a hamstring injury before we signed him but he had all the medical tests and did all the training session this week and is really fit and that is good news because he can be part of the squad this weekend," Koeman told reporters.
According to West Ham United co-chairman David Gold, Southampton are paying Austin in the region of £100,000 a week.
