Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has insisted that confidence is back among his players following their 3-0 win over Everton.
The Saints ended a run of five consecutive defeats in all competitions last weekend with a comfortable victory at St Mary's Stadium.
Despite doubts over the staying power of his team, Koeman is happy that they were able to put an end to a disappointing few weeks.
"We have had a bad two or three weeks with some defeats, even though some of them were maybe unlucky," he told reporters. "We had a good game against Everton, we played with good organisation and little by little during the game we got our confidence back. That's the most important thing now, winning games brings confidence back to the players."
Southampton are back in Premier League action on Boxing Day when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
