Southampton boss Ronald Koeman has hailed his side's spirit as they battled to earn a point from their Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Diego Costa handed the Blues the lead in the 11th minute, but the Saints found an equaliser from the penalty spot through Dusan Tadic after Sadio Mane was brought down in the penalty area.
Koeman's men fought in the second half to keep Chelsea at bay as keeper Fraser Forster made a string of fine stops to secure them a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
The Dutchman told Sky Sports News: "I think we had a fantastic reaction after the 1-0 and played some great football. We had some good chances and managed to draw out the penalty.
"The second half, Chelsea pressed and we had more difficulty in keeping the ball. They had some chances and Forster was great again today. It was great spirit of the team."
Southampton are sixth in the Premier League table after their draw with the Blues.
