Ronald Koeman has claimed that his Southampton side are yet to come up against a better team than them in the Premier League this season.
The Saints have overcome a high-profile summer exodus to make a storming start to the Dutchman's reign and currently sit second in the table.
Manchester City are two points behind them in third, and Koeman indicated that Southampton would be in for their toughest test of the campaign so far when they host the English champions on Sunday.
He told a press conference: "We try to keep playing game by game and we know our possibility.
"We have played 12 games in the Premier League so far. I have not seen a better team than us in these 12 games and we have played Liverpool and Tottenham. Maybe on Sunday, but we shall see."
The Saints follow their clash with City with a trip to Arsenal and a home match against Manchester United.
