Southampton striker Rickie Lambert has said that he is pleased with his side's performance against Stoke City in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 31-year-old was among the scorers at St Mary's Stadium where the teams played out a 2-2 draw.
"We got off to a great start and I was practicing my free kicks yesterday," BBC Sport quotes him as saying.
"When it went 2-1, we were desperate to get in ahead, but they scored and made it difficult for us today.
"Realistically, if we finish eighth it will be a great season for us."
The Saints are currently ninth in the league table with 36 points from 25 matches.
