Southampton reportedly have no plans to part ways with head coach Ralph Hasenhuttl for the foreseeable future.
With the Saints in the relegation zone with the worst defensive record in the Premier League, there is inevitably a degree of uncertainty regarding Hasenhuttl's position.
However, the Daily Mail claims that the Saints hierarchy intend to provide the Austrian with time to move the club away from the bottom three.
The report adds that Katharina Liebherr - Southampton's former owner and current board member - showed her support by singing a favourable Hasenhuttl chant at the club's Christmas party.
A number of members of the first-team squad are said to have had concerns that the 52-year-old could be removed from his role at the South Coast outfit.
Southampton are next in action when they face relegation rivals Aston Villa on Saturday.
