Southampton forward Charlie Austin has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for four clubs in the top two tiers of English football.
The 29-year-old has spent the last three-and-a-half years at St Mary's, contributing a total of 16 goals from 71 outings in the Premier League.
However, Austin has been made available for transfer this summer, leading to a hotly-contested scramble to secure his signature before the start of the new campaign.
According to The Sun, both Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are looking to add the attacker to their respective squads as they both bid to avoid a relegation battle.
Fulham and West Bromwich Albion are also said to be monitoring the situation ahead of a season which they hope will lead to promotion to the top flight.
The report suggests that Southampton value Austin in the region of £8m.
