Southampton outcast Gaston Ramirez has reportedly set his sights on a return to Italy in the January transfer window.
The Uruguay international, who cost the Saints £12m to sign from Bologna, has not appeared for the club since August 2014.
It has previously been suggested that Ramirez has been locked in talks with the South Coast outfit over terminating his contract.
However, according to Sport Mediaset, the 24-year-old will now wait until the new year before departing Southampton, with Lazio and former side Bologna thought to be interested.
Ramirez was shipped out on loan to Hull City last season, where he scored one goal in 22 appearances.
