Southampton chairman Ralph Krueger has reassured new manager Ronald Koeman that the funds from the mass exodus will be reinvested into transfer fees and wages.
Five of Southampton's key players have been sold for big money, and Krueger has confirmed how the proceeds will be spent.
The Saints chairman told talkSPORT: "Our summer activity is definitely not a fire sale, every penny of that will be up for reinvestment as transfer fees and wages.
"It is there right now as we speak for Ronald and [club executive director] Les Reed to put into play in the transfer market."
Southampton has collected just under £100m after selling key players like Luke Shaw to Manchester United for a reported £31m, with Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana sealing moves to Liverpool for a combined £46m.
