Southampton captain Adam Lallana has reportedly told the club that he wants to move when he returns from the World Cup.

The Saints skipper is the subject of interest from Liverpool, who have reportedly made a £25m offer for the playmaker.

According to BBC Sport, the England international, who scored nine goals for the Saints last season, has told his employers that he wants to leave when he comes back from Brazil with the England side.

Meanwhile the Reds landed Lallana's Southampton teammate Rickie Lambert for £4m on Monday.
