Southampton and Norwich City have reportedly set their sights on signing Blackburn Rovers forward Adam Armstrong.
The 24-year-old enjoyed his best-ever scoring season during the 2020-21 campaign, as he netted 28 times to leave him only three short of Golden Boot winner Ivan Toney.
Armstrong is about to enter the final year of his contract at Ewood Park and Blackburn will be keen to avoid losing their striker on a free transfer next summer, amid current interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
Football Insider reports that Norwich and Southampton are the two favourites to land his signature, with Everton also among the clubs interested in Armstrong.
Blackburn will reportedly accept a transfer fee in the region of £15m for the PFA Fans' Player of the Year, who has briefly played in the top flight with Newcastle United.
Since arriving at Ewood Park in 2018, Armstrong has gone on to score 64 goals in 160 appearances for the club. body check tags ::
