Southampton have reportedly agreed to sign England defender Steven Caulker on loan from Queens Park Rangers.
The 23-year-old, who has one international cap to his name, has been heavily linked with a move away this summer after QPR's relegation back to the Championship last season.
West Bromwich Albion were one of the clubs said to be interested, but Southampton have now moved into pole position to secure his signature, according to PA.
Caulker, 23, made 35 Premier League appearances for QPR last season after joining from Cardiff City a year ago for £8m.
